milkweed plants and endangered butterflies

Suspension is a small piece, and one of my 2022 favorites. The drawn pattern in a lower layers is inspired by the shape of milkweed seeds. Milkweed plants are the only source of food for monarch butterflies which were, sadly, just added to the endangered species list.

Planting milkweed in your garden will draw monarchs, always a joy to see, and help protect this beautiful species.
