In this course, I take you through the step by step process of drawing a repeating pattern. I chose this course topic because I’m often asked questions about how I design the patterns I use in my own art.
In the class you’ll learn to:
–transform a simple drawing into an intricate, repeatable pattern
–transfer the pattern drawing to paper or canvas
–use simple, widely available tools like a compass and french curve to create an elegant drawing
You’ll be making:
A circular repeat pattern drawing and transferring it to another surface for painting (or use with the medium of your choice).
The class is great for beginners with no prior drawing experience or for advanced students wanting to add a new technique to their toolkit.
